What To Expect At Your First Massage Treatment
POLICIES
As much as we love children, the clinic is not designed to keep them entertained. This is your time!!! Please make arrangements for child care.
Please, no use of cell phones within the clinic. Please have your ringer turned off to avoid disruption to any treatment.
PRIVACY POLICY:
The office privacy policy is posted in our clinic for your viewing. Prior to your 1st massage, you will be asked to sign your health history accepting this privacy policy.
LATE POLICY:
If you are late for your appointment, please be aware your treatment time will be shortened and you will be charged for the full treatment duration that was originally booked. If possible, please call in advance if you know you will be running late.
24 HR CANCELLATION POLICY
We require 24 hours notice of a cancellation, otherwise, you may be billed for any missed appointments in full.
SICK/ILLNESS:
If you have a fever, you cannot have a massage treatment. If you have an illness of any kind, please refrain from having any treatment until you have completely recovered. It is important to isolate the illness and keep it from spreading. If you arrive to the clinic ill, no treatment will be provided, and we will ask that you leave the clinic until your health is restored.
***Please see the Covid-19 Tab on the left for more details***
RECEIPTS:
After payment, you will receive a receipt for your treatment. The receipt can only be written in the person’s name who received the treatment. Treatment details cannot be subdivided into multiple receipts.
GIFT CARD PURCHASES:
A gift card purchase is considered a "gift" and cannot be refunded by your insurance company. Receipts for redeeming gift cards will not be issued.
Gift cards are non refundable, non transferable and have no cash value. Please present your gift card prior to your treatment and confirm your gift card at the time of booking.
Pre-purchased packages, GIFT CERTIFICATES or free promotional services are void if less than 24 hours cancellation notice is given or you miss your appointment. If a package was purchased, that numbered treatment that was missed will be void from the package or a fee may be incurred to the client to reinstate at the clinic and service providers discretion
DIRECT BILLING:
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your 1st appointment to fill out a health history form.
- The RMT will then discuss with you treatment details and the type of treatment you are looking for as well as your health history. This is a great opportunity to ask questions or discuss important health issues if you are uncertain.
- During this time, the therapist will inform you of all the information you will need prior to your treatment. This is the informed consent.
- After giving consent for your treatment, the therapist will leave the room to give you privacy and wash their hands. You will undress to where you are comfortable. Please keep in mind, the treatment is most beneficial working directly on the skin, however, we can also modify the treatment if necessary.
- You will be covered by a sheet at ALL times. Only the area being worked on will be un-draped to the therapist. i.e. one arm or leg at a time.
- It is very important that you discuss any concerns you have with your therapist. Communication is key to a successful treatment.
- After you redress, and the therapist returns, he/she may suggest to you some home care and/or exercises that may be beneficial. Feel free to ask any questions.
- After payment, you will receive a receipt in which you may submit to your extended health benefit insurance company (if you have benefits for massage therapy) for reimbursement.

DIRECT BILLING:
- Direct Billing clients must notify reception of payment method PRIOR to appointment and sign a direct billing consent form. The client is responsible to pay any amounts not covered by their policy at time of treatment.
- If our team submits a claim for you, and the claim goes into a "pending" status, the claim will be voided, and you will be responsible to pay the total fee of treatment. We will provide a receipt for you to submit your own insurance claim manually.
- "Coordination of Benefits" is not available. If you are covered under more than one extended health care benefits plan, we can submit to your primary carrier only, until it is fully exhausted. After this, we are able to submit to your secondary insurer until that is exhausted, or your primary benefit year is renewed- whichever comes first.
We offer direct billing to most large insurance providers (primary list below) if your plan allows for it.
We are not responsible for any denied or partial claims covered. All payments, and outstanding balances are due at time of service.
Please contact your insurance provider to confirm coverage details.
